Power outages and the good old days.

So today was a big snow/rain/sleet storm. It SUCKED, I can tell you that much. I woke up to no power and went powerless all day long. It came back while I was at drum lessons.

Well. When there's no power and your phone, iPod, and computer are all dead, then there's not much to do, so I reconnected myself with the "good old days" of being young and...get this...HAPPY.

Today, what did I do? I went through my closet. It's a big square space full of a ton of crap. I found Barbies that I used to adore, WinxClub dolls, Polly Pockets, tons of old purses, a FurReal cat (his name is Oscar!), a wooden gun that my dad made me, a toy cash register, a green flag, and a picture of my deceased kitty that I wrote a poem on the back of.

I admit I played with the Barbies and other dolls for at least 30 minutes. (:
But why shouldn't I? That's what reconnecting with the Good Old Days is about!

I spent most of my time creating a fort in between my bed and my closet...I named it Juliaisradical's Fort. Legit. I decorated it with the green flag I found and protected it with the wooden gun. (:

Well this is just a heads up - EVERYONE should take a day to get off the electronics and relive the happiest times of your life!!! It makes you feel pretty good.

Yet here I am, blogging about it on Blogger, with Twitter and Facebook on two separate tabs. (:

Thanks, read, follow, comment?
